Never heard or seen before at Chabad of Plano…Look what we are offering, this is something you will not want to miss… guaranteed!
As you may know, in the past the Learner’s Service met upstairs monthly as regular services were held in the shul. In the spirit of the new year with a renewed commitment to spiritual growth and learning, we are inviting you to participate in a revamped, reenergized Learner’s Service.
Have we got a plan for you!
This year, the learner Service will be integrated into the regular service. This format will hopefully benefit everyone to enjoy and become comfortable in the regular service and give the weekly attendees an opportunity for more learning and a change of pace from the regular, weekly services.
By merging both groups, the “regular shul attendees” and the Learner Service attendees, we can all benefit from the increased attendance and perspective each one brings. Every person who attends our shul brings his/her unique energy to our spiritual home.
The Learners Service will begin at 10:45am, downstairs in the shul, when the Torah is taken out of the Ark.
Learn a little something….
Using the Torah Reading service as a springboard, Rabbi Block will transform the Torah Reading Service into a learning experience for the whole congregation. There will be commentary between aliyot, discussions, handouts and opportunity for Q & A.
Before Mussaf, Rabbi Block will teach some insights and protocol about prayer, each time explaining a different part of the service.
Services are over at 12:20 PM.
And eat a little something…
You can’t leave Chabad with an empty stomach, so stay awhile!
Please join us for a delicious Kiddush lunch with all the fixin’s; cholent, kugel, gefilte fish, salads, challah and desserts.
And for the kinderlach…
There will be a simultaneous Junior Congregation for all ages. This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss! Talented and experienced educators will lead the children in activities, prayer and stories, bringing our traditions of Tefillah (prayer) and Torah to life.
Esther Horowitz – Toddler – age 4
Rivkie Block – ages 5-8
