Dear Members and Friends,

We have been working hard to develop a High Holidays plan that will be both safe, and also service as many of our community as possible.
As such, we are happy to announce that Chabad of Plano will be conducting in-person services, and an adult and a family shofar blowing, with indoor and outdoor options. 

Please note: This email and schedule are for Rosh Hashanah ONLY. We will be sending out another email (after we evaluate how the Rosh Hashanah Services went) with a schedule for Yom Kippur. 

Options for Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Saturday, September 19th:

1.     Full Service: 8:30am - 12:00pm This service will be held in the shul and will include the complete, traditional Rosh Hashanah service.   

2.     Essential Service: 12:30pm - 1:15pm This service will be held in the Shul and will include some essential  prayers as well as a short sermon. Please note that we do not blow the Shofar on the first day when it is Shabbat.  
Both services will be in accordance with COVID-19 appropriate social and physical distancing and  each person will be required to wear a mask . In addition there will be no childcare and only adults and children 11 and over who will sit with their parents can come to the indoor services.  

Options for Rosh Hashanah Day 2, Sunday, September 20th:

1.     Full Service: 8:30am - 12:00pm - This service will be held in the shul and will include the complete, traditional Rosh Hashanah service. 

2.     Essential Service: 12:30pm - 1:15pm -  This service will be held in the Shul and will include some essential  prayers and  Shofar blowing as well as a short sermon.

3.     Adults only Shofar Blowing: 4:45pm - this will be a short service and include the blowing of the shofar and a few selected prayers, and will be held outside in the playground area of Chabad.
(RSVP For this Shofar Service is preferred but not required - all other services require advance RSVP)

4.     Family Shofar Blowing: 5:30pm - this will be a short service and include the blowing of the shofar, a story and a few selected prayers, and will be held outside in the playground area of Chabad. (RSVP For this Shofar Service is preferred but not required - all other services require advance RSVP)

Crucial: In order to maintain the utmost safety All Seating Must be reserved. Once you determine which service you would like to attend, please Click Here and reserve your seats. This will enable us to ensure that everyone has a place to sit in a safe way.

Safety Protocols
We are taking the safety element as serious as possible.
Therefore:

  • We will have the entire shul sanitized between each service with our electrostatic sprayer.
  • We will have plastic shields built around the Rabbi's and Chazzan's Lectern and around the Bima where we read the Torah
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.
  • All handles and faucets will be sanitized throughout the service by our cleaning staff
