Mr. Brooks is a captivating communicator with a strong understanding of the banking space. He believes we all have a deep responsibility to help solve problems and build strong, healthy communities.
During his 32-year stewardship, Independent Financial has experienced remarkable growth and earned a sterling reputation. Perhaps more importantly though, Mr. Brooks has fostered a corporate culture where colleagues are encouraged to follow their passions - understanding our efforts can inspire others.
Mr. Brooks is a 1980 graduate of Baylor's Hankamer School of Business, and also holds a Master's of Business Administration degree from the University. He currently serves as Chair man of Capital Southwest Corporation, and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer at Baylor University and President of the Board of Trustees of the McKinney Independent School District. In 2018, Mr. Brooks was inducted into The Texas Bankers Hall of Fame.

WAYNE FELDMAN
RECEIVING THE CHABAD OF PLANO CHESED AWARD
For close to 23 years, Wayne has called Chabad of Plano his spiritual home, one that he has helped build with his strong sense of communal responsibility and his own spiritual journey.
Amongst Wayne's many volunteer efforts he shops and cooks withothers, to prepare the delicious Tefillin club breakfast each month. Most Shabbat mornings you will find Wayne standing near the bima, calling out the aliyot pages during Torah reading. Wayne donates wine and I'chayims to many Chabad holiday celebrations and events and reached out to lend a hand to many congregants on a one on one basis.
Wayne and his wife Linda, both native New Yorkers, have made the Plano area their home for the past 23 years. Together, they raised two children and are proud grandparents to two grandchildren. Wayne has a long career in the Wine and Spirits industry working with Seagrams followed by Glazers and is currently with Royal Wine Corporation.
His personality, talents, intelligence and care for others have endeared him to so many in our community. We are grateful to recognize Wayne Feldman with the Chabad of Plano Chesed Award. Chazak v'ematz!
