This year, Chabad of Plano is proud to honor Aaron Shelby. For more than 25 years, he has been a steadfast, behind-the-scenes partner to Chabad of Plano. At a pivotal moment in our early growth, Aaron—then a young banker at Legacy Bank—took a meaningful leap of faith, believing in Chabad’s vision and approving our building loan thereby making our building possible.
As his career advanced, his support never wavered. Aaron has remained a trusted partner and supporter of Chabad of Plano, offering guidance and standing with us as our community has grown over the years. It is truly our privilege to recognize Aaron this evening for all of his efforts on our behalf. 
 

About Honoree

Born and raised primarily in Dallas, TX and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1990. Graduated from Santa Clara University in 1994 with BS Finance degree.   Aaron joined LegacyTexas Bank in 2003 and worked his way up through Commercial Lending into Management.  He has stayed engaged through mergers in 2015 and 2019 (to Prosperity Bank) and is currently the DFW Area Chairman.  He manages the Bank’s Mortgage Operation and a Commercial Lending Group in Dallas/Fort Worth. 

 

In April of 2016 Aaron was named to the Board of Carroll Shelby International, the umbrella organization under which the Shelby entities operate. In this roll he acts as brand ambassador for Shelby and helps to maintain the relationship with Ford Motor Company His charity work currently includes being on the Board of Directors of the Carroll Shelby Foundation and previously working with NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) and The Dallas Children’s Theater. Married to Brooke and has two boys, Pierce (21) and Larsen (19)
