Hebrew School They’ll Look Forward To

At Plano Hebrew School, we want children to do more than learn about Judaism — we want them to love being Jewish.

Our Hebrew School combines meaningful Jewish learning, Hebrew reading, hands-on experiences and a warm sense of community to give every child a strong Jewish foundation and a connection that feels personal and relevant.

Sunday mornings are active, engaging and filled with discovery. Through stories, games, projects, challenges and interactive learning, students explore Torah, Jewish values, holidays, mitzvot and what it means to be a proud Jew today.

Learn

Torah, Jewish values, holidays and mitzvot taught in a way children can understand and remember.

Connect

Build friendships, feel part of the Jewish community and discover that Judaism belongs to them.

Grow

Develop confidence in Hebrew reading and pride in Jewish identity through meaningful experiences.

CKids Bereishis
Our 2026–2027 Curriculum

Discover Where Our Story Begins

This year, our students will journey through Bereishis — the first book of the Torah — discovering the people and stories that shaped the Jewish nation and exploring what those stories mean for us today.

Through experiments, crafts, recipes, storytelling, games and creative challenges, children won’t simply hear about Avraham’s hospitality or Rivka’s kindness. They’ll experience the ideas in ways designed to make the lessons stick.

The new CKids Bereishis curriculum explores big questions like: Who am I? Where do I come from? What makes me proud to be Jewish?

Ancient stories. Real-life lessons. Proud Jewish kids.

One special highlight this year is a global CKids Giving Day, bringing the value of giving to life through a hands-on experience shared by children around the world.

Building Skills. Building Confidence.

Alongside our Judaic curriculum, students build real Hebrew-reading skills and can take their Jewish knowledge even further through JewQ.

Aleph Champ

Hebrew Reading at Their Level

Every child learns differently — and Hebrew reading should reflect that.

Through Aleph Champ, students progress at their own pace through clearly defined levels, building accuracy, confidence and fluency.

Students also receive focused individual Hebrew reading time, allowing them to work on the skills they personally need and experience real progress.

JewQ

Take Jewish Knowledge Further

Plano Hebrew School is proud to join thousands of Jewish children worldwide through JewQ.

Students study Jewish concepts and traditions throughout the year, take fun and challenging tests, earn rewards and celebrate their accomplishments at the regional championship.

Students who qualify can continue on to the unforgettable CKids Shabbaton and JewQ International Championship experience.
